How to Use the Appliance Electricity Cost Calculator

Our Appliance Electricity Cost Calculator helps you estimate how much your appliances may be adding to your monthly electric bill. It is beginner-friendly and designed for common Philippine household appliances.

Step 1: Select an Appliance

Choose the appliance you want to estimate.

Step 2: Choose the Appliance Type

If you selected an air conditioner, additional options will appear.

Choose:

  • Split Type
  • Floor Standing

Then select the horsepower or capacity:

  • 1.5 HP
  • 2.0 HP

Step 3: Select Inverter or Non-Inverter

  • Standard / Non-Inverter
  • Inverter / Energy Efficient

Inverter appliances usually consume less electricity depending on usage conditions.

Step 4: Enter Your Electricity Rate

Choose your estimated electricity rate per kWh.

You may use:

  • Meralco estimate
  • VECO estimate
  • Davao Light estimate
  • BENECO estimate
  • Custom rate

If you are unsure, you can use the default Philippine estimate already provided.

Step 5: Enter Daily Usage

Input:

  • How many hours you use the appliance daily
  • How many days you use it monthly

Example:

  • 8 hours per day
  • 30 days per month

The longer the usage, the higher the estimated electricity cost.

Step 6: Enter Your Current Electric Bill (Optional)

You may add your estimated monthly electric bill.
